Dental banding – more information
Dental Banding – More Information
Our dental procedures are grouped into bands to reflect the level of treatment your pet requires. This allows us to provide a more accurate estimate, whether your pet needs a routine ultrasonic descale or more advanced care involving dental extractions. The band allocated will depend on the complexity of the procedure and, where applicable, the number of teeth requiring extraction.
Regardless of the band, all of our dental procedures include a high standard of care throughout. Every patient receives full-mouth dental radiographs to assess the health of each tooth beneath the gumline, along with a comprehensive dental grading performed under anaesthetic. Intravenous fluid therapy is also included where necessary, to support circulation and aid recovery.
Appropriate pain relief and medications are provided to continue care at home, and post-operative checks with our veterinary nursing team are included to ensure your pet is healing well.
