Hypertension in refers to a sustained elevation in blood pressure throughout the body. Blood pressure is measured using a non-invasive doppler or automatic machine which aims to minimise the effects of stress as much as possible.

Hypertension in cats can be secondary to an underlying health issue such as kidney disease or hyperthyroidism so it is important to check for these on routine urine and blood tests.
During the month of May, we are offering free blood pressure checks for any cat or dog over the age of 8. Please give us a call or message us on WhatsApp to book this in so that we can catch this early, before it is too late!
